Getting Fussy!

I have been watching a ton of videos lately all about using color and different elements, layering, dimension and different textures. My stash is limited so I've been trying to incorporate things I already have or have around the house to use on my projects. I've been having a great time doing so. I think I'm finally giving in to that nasty cold that everyone's been coming over and coughing on me, way to share germs! Anyway, I made the box below for a friend and I used some pretty butterflies that were on a page so I fussy cut them out. I have added a nice sharp pair of scissor's to my wish list!! Take a look!!

I think it turned out really great and I've been inspired to look more closely at my paper for embellishments!! Thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed it!!

Random Act of Kindness

Today in the mail I received a package from Richard Breaks. Included were stamp sets, paper and embellishments and he made a beautiful card and some tags and included them in the package. Words can't express how thankful I am!! His artwork is pictured below:

So beautiful!! Take a look at Richard's Blog - he makes some awesome things!!

Christmas Thank You Box and Card

At Christmas time a family adopted us and I made them a card and a box. Thier daughter passed away last year just after Christmas and they adoped us in honor of her memory. They included some pictures of her and we also have some pictures of her. We have made copies of the pictures and will put them in the box with the card. I hope they like it. I had a good time making it.

This is the cover of the box that I altered to hold the card and pictures.

Here is the inside of the box.

Here is the card that I made. I've been experimenting with making my own flowers. I like the way the rose turned out. I didn't think of it, I found it on http://www.card-making-magic.com/ . It's under videos and it's called Paper Roses. There's a lot of helpful information at that website.

Thanks for looking!!
