Paper Flowers

I've been playing around for a while on ways to make your own embellishments...paper flowers. I've tried lots of different ideas, some with no success at all and all that I ended up with is balls of paper and glue and everything all sticky!! Anyway, I made these and I don't think they turned out too bad, of course having the right adhesive would probably help some!! I used just about all the good adhesive I had on the Mini-Pocket Album....but soo worth it. So here's my flowers that I made - remember, comments, suggestions are always welcome!!

I think these flower's have potential, but I don't like how they hook together!! I took 1 1/2" circles and folded them in half. Then I took a Bamboo Chopstick and folded and played with the circles until they resembeled petals - they could easily be manipulated into leaves as well. I want to figure out a better way to hook them together and it may just be that I'm not using the right adhesive, but as always, suggestions are welcomed!!

Thanks, Julie for asking about these flowers!!

Followers

I haven't heard a peep from anyone about anything I've posted for quite some time!! I would love some comments and maybe you guys could tell someone else about my blog? Cool....have a great night!

Pocket Mini-Album & "Made it Myself" Blog Hop Entry

I saw a book like this while I was surfing around and absolutely fell in love with the look of it. I found a fabulous UTube that explains how to create this step by step, including the measurements. I will say, this is one project where precise cuts and scores are essential! The book is made using chipboard and cardstock, pockets are created and you put tags and mini-books in those slots. If you're giving this as a gift you could choose to leave it blank and let the recipient fill it or you can choose to fill it for them. I think this turned out really cute - it was time consuming, but I think worth it. If anyone is interested in a link to the UTube I found, drop me a note and I will email that right to you!!

I'm going to enter this into a blog hop - "Made it Myself" Monday! The button, if you also want to enter this hop is on the left side of my blog. There's lots of talent in the buttons there!!

As you can see, I was short by one ring for the binding, but it will have 3-rings when I'm done. This was a lot of work, but I love how it turned out!! Hope you enjoyed it!!

More Scrapbook Pages

Box of Pictures!

I found a box of pictures from when I was a kid and when my kids were little!! Imagine the memories!! I decided I needed to at the very least get the descriptions written on the back but I've been so inspired that I've been creating pages between documenting the pictures!

Avatar

I love the movie Avatar - I've had it for a while and never had a cover for it.  I finally gave Avatar a home!!

More Cards

I made the decorations on the paper I used with the Black Magic technique....they turned out beautiful. I even decorated the insides!!

Mini-Albums

I created these cute little albums using paper and hair accessories! I think they are perfect for making very specific albums, like the first year of school, or Little League or just about anything. I made one for each of my grandkids. I think they turned out really cute!

Crystal sun Catcher

I made this sun catcher for my cousin's wedding. The red one is for my cousing, the multi-colored one i have hanging in my window...such great rainbows!!

Butterfly Card

I created the Butterfly on my Cricut...it was 7 layers. I'm not happy with the center tho. If I ever do this again, I will emboss the center before I put it together.

Paper Flowers

I made these flowers using 1 1/2" circles folded and curled. I haven't perfected the process yet, but once I do, I think these will be really pretty to use.
